Dugout System Definition
A Dugout System is essentially a double-slotted portable box with a rotating top and can be made of wood or any durable material. It holds a pipe (or “one hitter”) in the small compartment, as well as also having a larger second compartment to store tobacco or shredded cannabis. The convenience of the Dugout System comes from the ability to simply take the pipe and push it into the end that contains the plant material, filling the pipe with a modest amount for a short smoking session. A drawback is the frequent maintenance requirements of the Dugout System: it periodically needs to be cleaned and refilled. Also, the box does nothing to conceal smell.
