Cannabis Oil Definition
Cannabis Oil is made by extracting the various cannabinoids, such as THC and CBD, from the plant itself that produces a thick, resin-like substance. This is done through an extracting process involving a solvent – such as butane, CO2, or ethanol – to help strip away the cannabinoids to be later filtered from the excess plant matter and then boiled to eliminate excess solvent. While the end product produces highly concentrated and potent cannabis liquid with THC levels reaching upwards of 80% in some oils, Cannabis Oil is specifically produced without the psychoactive properties of cannabis in mind, focusing heavily on the concentration of CBD and the treatment of several medical conditions. Cannabis Oil can be orally ingested, vaporized, inhaled, used as a suppository or even be applied topically.
