Mendocino Purps Strain Definition
Mendocino Purps is an Indica-dominant hybrid strain consisting of 60% Indica and 40% Sativa. It is named after its place of origin, Mendocino County, California, the home of the marijuana industry. Although the genetics of this strain are relatively unknown, it has a THC level of 20% that makes it quite potent and not recommended for beginners. Its effect is a strong cerebral euphoria which progresses into a deep relaxation. With an aroma reminiscent of woody pine and a taste similar to caramel coffee, Mendocino Purps may be hard to find in its original form due to constant crossbreeding by breeders. In its purest form, however, it has won the Cannabis Cup on two separate occasions (2007 & 2009). Medical applications include the treatment of anxiety, PTSD, depression, chronic pain and insomnia.
