Ethanol, also known as ethyl alcohol or drinking alcohol is the primary type of alcohol used in alcoholic beverages. Despite this common association, its purest form has a place in the cannabis world; helping aid in the manufacture of cannabis oil. Ethanol can be used to strip the raw cannabinoids off marijuana leaves to be extracted from the excess plant matter; creating a highly concentrated THC substance used for smoking or vaporizing.
