Cannabis Doctor Definition

While there is no actual field of medical practice exclusively for the study of cannabis, many doctors in various fields have advocated for the medical use of cannabis because they believe – through evidence-based clinic studies – that medical marijuana has a vast array of medical benefits for patients. As it stands currently in Canada, it is required to obtain a medical document from a practicing physician, preferably from internal medicine or a family doctor, that details the condition being treated and that medical marijuana is the prescribed treatment method. While the choice of prescribing medical marijuana is often not the first line of therapy for debilitating conditions, it is up to the patient to plead their care in favour of it.
