Nectar Definition
Nectar in the cannabis community refers to cannabis or hash oil. This oil is a semi-solid compound composed of cannabis resin obtained by the use of solvents to separate excess plant matter from the highly sought after cannabinoids; making for a highly concentrated THC solution. Butane hash oil, also called butane honey oil is the most common method for obtaining cannabis oils and is essentially a concentrated form of cannabis that is made by placing marijuana grounds and butane in a container and pushing the mixture through a micron screen mesh, effectively extracting the THC from the plant matter. Butane is used because it strips the cannabinoids off the marijuana leaves, leaving a liquid mixture which once left to allow the excess butane to evaporate produces a highly concentrated form of THC with levels that can exceed 80%.
