Licensed Producer Definition

A Licensed Producer of marijuana is an individual or entity that has a permit to grow and/or distribute weed. The permit is issued by Health Canada and there is an extensive application process that the grower must undertake. Such an application binds the producer to certain rules and restrictions imposed by Health Canada. Only Licensed Producers are entitled to legally grow and handle marijuana plants and concentrates in the country.
